On May 2, BWH will launch the new Partners-wide online procurement system, eBuy. eBuy is a front-end system that will make paper requisitions for departmental purchases obsolete.
In addition to eliminating the existing paper-driven process, it conveniently offers real-time tracking from the creation of a requisition to the payment of the invoice; electronic approvals; and, of course, time savings.
“The new system will substantially streamline BWH's purchasing process,” said Andrew Madden, director, BWH's Materials Management Department.
Those who are responsible for purchasing in each department are required to complete eBuy training. Individuals should complete and have their managers sign the appropriate form that provides authorization to access eBuy. The form can be found at http://intranet.partners.org/MM/ebuy_login_form.pdf
Once authorized, individuals can choose to complete web-based or classroom training. The "how to" for web-based training is available at http://intranet.partners.org/MM/ebuy_wbt.asp
Likewise, schedules and registration information for classroom training can be found at http://intranet.partners.org/MM/ebuy_bwh_training.asp
Also, general eBuy informational sessions that include a 15-minute session on approver training will be held in the Bornstein Amphitheater at 10 a.m. on April 18, 19, 20, 25, 26 & 28.
Specific questions on eBuy should be emailed to ebuy@partners.org
